There was a big thread urging people to report any quality control issues w/ their Alien vs. Predator figures, so I decided to wait for corrected waves to ship before I purchased any. It's been a few months since then and my local retailers appear to only have their initial orders in stock. Are corrected versions going to be released or should I just take potluck w/ what's on the pegs?

A lot of people were saying that the joints were too fragile and the accessories didn't affix correctly. Also the bases didn't have any pegs and the places where the columns would've attatched are still parts of the bases. Steve and Jon requested that we report any problems w/ them. Basically, I had been assuming that any w/o footpegs had yet to be corrected.

the joints are made of a soft clear plastic on a lot of them, which incidently led to a lot of breakage in the arm and leg regions. Some wrists snapped too. same thing they reported happened to my Butterball, the damn arm just snapped off in the package and when I opened it it flopped on the ground and mocked me...

Most of the bitching was the same as it is for every line. Bitching for the sake of bitching over the odd error.
The first few people to get them had a leg break off or something...that was a valid problem. I'd say overall though, they are in the minority.
People complained that the arms popped off, when in fact they are pretty much designed to do so. The joint is soft rubber, and the ball for the shoulder pops in and out.
There are only 2 accessories, the shuriken and the spear. The shuriken can be held properly if you have a bit of patience to figure out how it should be held. The spear cannot be held, but that's just because of the hand sculpt. No way that would be changed.
Don't know where you're getting the no pegs from. Every figure in the line came with at least 4 pegs, even the ones without bases. All bases had plenty of peg holes.
The spots where the columns should attach are still there. That is part of the sculpt that they decided to leave on. Maybe it was too late or costly to change the moulds, maybe they left it in case we get the pillars one day. But like the one hand, there is no way they would completely retool for future figures.
All in all, that thread was meant for future reference. They wanted to know what kinds of problems people had so they could make sure it didn't happen in future lines.
So basically the only real problem was the few people who had a leg joint break. Like I said though, they seem to be in the minority. I'd say go ahead and buy the things, future waves won't be any different.

I haven't seen any pegs in the pegholes for the ones that are in NJ. Are they hidden like DCD pegs? Also does unmasked scar pred exist?

...i sure wish I could find at least one that didn't fall apart at the touch. I've bought 4 or 5, out of which I have pieced together 3, only one of which still has all its articulation. Bad, bad average...but if I was a Republican, it would be great!

I didn't have a single break in my set.
My only problem was that one of the joints was painted tight.
